How to remove yourself from Spokeo.

Spokeo's public search can turn into a long paid-report funnel. The removal process still works from a specific listing URL, and each distinct record may need its own request.

Collect the public listing URLs first

Spokeo can publish more than one record for the same person. Name variations, old cities, and partial records may lead to separate profile URLs. One request may hide only the listing you submit.

Infobreaker does not currently treat Spokeo's paid search funnel as a reliable discovery scan. Locate the public listing through Spokeo or a normal web search, confirm it is yours, and save the exact URL before opening the opt-out form.

How the Spokeo opt-out process works

  1. Find every distinct Spokeo profile that belongs to you.
  2. Save each profile URL and the search variation that found it.
  3. Open Spokeo's official opt-out form.
  4. Paste one profile URL and enter an email address you control.
  5. Complete the CAPTCHA and submit the form.
  6. Open the confirmation email.
  7. Repeat the process for each separate listing URL.
  8. Search all known name and location variations again after processing.

Do not pay for a background report just to reach the opt-out form. The removal route takes a public listing URL and email address directly.

I submitted the form but did not receive an email

Check spam and confirm the address was entered correctly. If necessary, restart the request for that exact URL and preserve the new receipt.
