Data broker sites publish your name, address, phone number, and family connections for anyone to find. Infobreaker scans supported broker sites for your listing, walks removal requests through each broker's own opt-out process, and then re-checks — showing verified removals, re-listings, and broker declines exactly as they happen.
The rule the app is built around: if Infobreaker cannot prove something, it does not claim it.
Scan, review, remove, verify.
- Scan. Infobreaker checks supported broker sites for listings that may match your profile, and captures evidence so you can see exactly what was found.
- Review. You decide what is really you. Broker results include similar names and wrong people, so weak matches get rejected by you instead of auto-submitted.
- Remove. For confirmed listings, Infobreaker submits the broker's own opt-out flow — automatically where that is reliable, and guided where the broker requires a human step like a CAPTCHA or an email confirmation.
- Verify. After the broker's response window, Infobreaker re-checks and counts a removal only when it captures proof that the listing is gone. Then it schedules future checks, because brokers re-list people.
Honest numbers, generated from evidence.
Coverage claims in this space are usually a single big number. Infobreaker separates what it can scan, what it can automate, and what it can only assist with — and the counts below are generated from the project's own evidence database, not written by hand.
As of July 23, 2026, from the generated broker coverage report:
- Tracked: 57 people-search and data broker sites in the catalog.
- Automated scanning: 26 brokers where Infobreaker can search for your listing itself.
- Automated opt-out: 3 brokers where Infobreaker can complete the removal request end-to-end.
- Assisted opt-out: 37 brokers where Infobreaker prepares the request, fills the forms, and guides you through the steps brokers require a human for — CAPTCHAs, email confirmations, or a final click.
On Tacita Labs' own test profile, the same report records all three real outcomes: verified removals, listings that reappeared after a confirmed removal, and broker declines. You will see all three outcomes in the app, because all three happen. Public outcome counts are omitted when their underlying evidence is due for a fresh check.
These counts change as brokers change their sites, and they are regenerated rather than hand-edited. We will not publish a coverage number we cannot regenerate from evidence.
The privacy model is simple.
- Local-first. Your profile, scan history, evidence screenshots, and monitoring data live on your device. There is no account and no cloud dashboard.
- Your data goes only where you send it. Information leaves your device when you run a broker scan or submit a removal request, and it goes straight from your machine to that broker's own site — the same thing you would do by hand, just automated.
- Update checks send metadata only. The app checks
tacitalabs.comfor app and broker-automation updates. Those checks send version and update metadata, not your profile. - Evidence for every claim. Statuses in the app reconcile to evidence you can open — screenshots, receipts, and re-check results.
- Support reports are optional and redacted. If you choose to report a problem, the app creates a redacted copy that you can review before sending. Nothing is sent unless you send it.

What "public beta" means here.
Infobreaker is public: anyone can download it from this page. It is also a beta: it is under heavy development, and it behaves like it.
- Broker sites change constantly, so automations break and get repaired. Repairs ship through signed updates.
- Some flows open a visible browser window and need your help — CAPTCHAs, email confirmations, or a final submit. The app tells you when, instead of silently failing or pretending it finished.
- Verified removals take weeks, not minutes. Brokers have response windows, and Infobreaker will not quietly count a submitted request as a removal.
- Expect rough edges, and expect the app to be candid about them. If it says something worked, that claim is backed by evidence you can look at.
- Free to use for non-commercial use.
- Support is best-effort during beta. Infobreaker is not an emergency safety, legal, or guaranteed-removal service, and broker decisions and timelines are outside Tacita Labs' control.

Infobreaker is available for macOS and Windows. Install Google Chrome before your first scan — broker automation uses a real, visible browser with its own separate profile.
Updating from beta.52 or earlier, or seeing beta.61 open without a window? Use these download links for this upgrade. The older updater cannot follow GitHub's release download redirect, and beta.61 can be blocked before the window appears by stale broker automation metadata. After installing 1.0.0-beta.73, in-app updates can download future releases normally.

What does it cost?

What happens to my personal information?
It stays on your computer, in an AES-256-encrypted vault. Infobreaker has no account system and no backend that receives your data. Your information leaves your device only when you run a broker scan or an opt-out, and it is sent directly from your machine to that broker's own site. Diagnostic files also stay local, and support reports are redacted before you're ever asked to share one.
How is this different from DeleteMe or Incogni?
Those are subscription services: you give them your personal information, and they submit requests on your behalf from their systems. Infobreaker takes the opposite approach — it runs on your computer, and Tacita Labs does not hold a copy of the profile you use for broker work. We make no claims about comparative effectiveness; the difference is the trust model.
Will it remove me from everything?
No, and be wary of tools that say yes. Infobreaker covers the tracked brokers listed above, some brokers decline requests, and some re-list people after a confirmed removal. The app shows you those outcomes instead of hiding them behind a single feel-good number.
Why does a browser window open?
Because broker sites treat invisible automation as suspicious, and some steps — CAPTCHAs, email confirmations — deliberately require a person. Infobreaker uses a real, visible browser with its own separate automation profile, so your everyday browsing history stays out of broker work and you can watch exactly what is being sent.
How long do removals take?
Days to weeks, depending on the broker. Brokers have response windows, and Infobreaker only reports "verified removed" after a later re-check captures proof the listing is gone. Zero verified removals in week one usually means the app is refusing to count submissions as removals — not that nothing happened.
What platforms does it run on?
macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows (x64). Google Chrome must be installed for broker automation — on Windows, Edge may work as a fallback, but Chrome is the tested path.
Where do I report problems?
Email infobreaker@tacitalabs.com. Support during the beta is best-effort, with priority for disappearing work, unreconciled counts, unredacted support data, and claims without evidence.
